Just as the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee decided last week to scrap plans for its television ads for U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieus re-election bid, the Republican National Committee announced that it was sending an extra 200+ people to the state to help Bill Cassidy, following the Nov. 4 primary.
Cassidy is leading most polls three weeks out from the Dec. 6 primary.
We predicted the turnout within a couple hundred votes so we feel really good about how well we know these voters, RNC spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski told Politico.com. We are literally buying up hotels and car rentals and sending most of our field team down to one state. It is going to be an intense operation.
Ben Voelkel, RNC Louisiana spokesman, added to The Advocate: Were excited to have some extra reinforcements to provide backup to the tremendous grassroots program already in place the largest volunteer get out the vote program Louisiana has ever seen.
Based on social media, staffers have come here from Michigan, Ohio, Iowa and Arkansas, among other states. Theyve been knocking on doors and phoning potential voters.
Heres some of their activity so far:

Excellent!
And where were your like efforts to help Terry Lynn Land? She may have been bit of a laggard as a candidate, but where were you efforts to drag her across the finish line and ride Snyder's coattails? This is why the E-GOP drives me nuts, 1/2 of what they do makes no sense, this will be a win in LA, but they won't fight the tough fights when they are really needed.
Any way we can help from where we are, such as making calls?
It appears the Drive-By Media (we call them the Paid Media) here in Louisiana will be doing their best to keep Landrieu propped up. For example, the latest Landrieu ad is being seen more in news stories than is actually being aired as a commercial.
I suggest whenever Politico, Roll Call, etc. print a Landrieu story, we make an effort to refute the story in the comments section.
Senate Democrats considering vote on Keystone pipeline to help Mary Landrieu, Bloomberg reports
Why vote for a candidate who at best can be a minority vote? Why not vote for a candidate who can be on comittee chairs, and be more influential?
They couldn’t single-handedly focus their efforts in Michigan when there were too many other seats in play that were closer in the polls. Land just fizzled out early on. By all accounts, she should’ve been the ideal Senate candidate. A woman who had won twice statewide, acceptable to both the establishment and Tea Party. Only got 41%.
Turns out of the 12 Senate races the GOP lost, she ran the EIGHTH worst (!), ahead of only Brian Herr in MA (38% and a third-tier challenger), the disastrous Monica Wehby in OR (37%, a “well regarded” Establishment candidate), Zaccaria in RI (29%) & Cavasso in HI (28% - both desultory candidates). Even the candidate in Delaware, a desultory retread, got a higher % (42%) of the vote than Land, and won two of three counties.
As for Snyder, he didn’t exactly register a smashing victory, getting just under 51% of the vote (below Dem Peters 55% in the Senate race), way below the 58% he got in 2010. Both were subpar performances.
Logic doesn’t usually factor into politics. If it did, we wouldn’t have 90% of the people currently in office, from the White House on down.

So, I guess there are no “out of state operatives” working for the dumbocrats in the state?
Actually, since the national Dems have shut off Landrieu’s money spigot, that is the case, lol!
Supposedly, Sunday she was supposed to air this “hard-hitting” new commercial on the Saints game, but ppl who watched the game said it didn’t air, at least up here in North Louisiana. The only place I’ve seen it is in “news” stories.
OUTSTANDING! The ground game. DEPOPULATE socialists from the body politic.

Just as in Texas, where the newspapers in the big cities endorsed the pathetic Wendy David, the media in LA should pay a price for their pushing Democrat candidates. Conservatives should not give them a dime in subscriptions or advertising buys.
Land ran largely on the idea of returning the power to the states and the GOP dropped her like a hot rock. That left her to face the full brunt of everything the democrats could muster
Have no fear, the Grima Wormtongue FReepers will be on their knees servicing Fred Upton in a few years when he runs. Those scumbags who think they can determine who is and isn’t a good candidate can shove it up their ass. They’re lower than the democrats.

Democrats Leave a Body on the Campaign Trail
Terri Land was big on stripping the senate of power and returning the power to the states. There was no way the GOP was going to allow her anywhere near Washington. They did the same to their own when Pete Hoekstra made the comment about the 17th amendment being a mess.
Probably the single most conservative thing a candidate can say but it didn’t come from one of the correct states so FReepers have zero interest in helping out.

GOP promises Cassidy an Energy Committee seat
Why the out-of-state push? Is the GOP hiring any local folks to help? When southerners get calls from Yankee-talkers, are they supposed to get all oo-ey and goo-ey and jump on the GOP bandwagon? WTF?!
