Dems unlikely to ram through Obama’s attorney general pick

President Obama will have to get his nominee for attorney general past a Republican-controlled Senate, Democratic and Republican aides say.

A packed schedule after the election is almost certain to push the vetting process for Loretta Lynch into January, when Republicans are set to take power in the upper chamber.

“It seems likely [the Lynch vote] would be in the next Congress. It’s difficult to process an [attorney general] that quickly,” said a Democratic aide.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has not yet made a decision on whether to move Lynch’s nomination in the lame-duck session, according to spokesman Adam Jentleson.

But aides say the time crunch and growing GOP opposition to Lynch make it exceedingly unlikely that the replacement for Eric Holder will be confirmed in December.

Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Mike Lee (R-Utah) over the weekend repeated their call for postponing a vote on Lynch until the new Congress begins.

-------

...which is precisely why she should not be confirmed in the lame duck session of Congress by senators who just lost their seats and are no longer accountable to the voters,"

Exactly, no lame duck confirmations.

“Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid”

Counting the days until he loses that title.

I guess the Dems, even that rump that remains, are not too keen to be doing any courtesies for the big ZERO.

Harry Reid may not want to ram through all of obama’s garbage. Harry was quite upset with the way Hussein didn’t allow a lot of the money he raised go to senate races. Hussein was a huge liability during the midterms.

Harry Reid hates Obuma’s guts. Buckwheat stabbed the rat senators in the back on November 4, and Obuma will pay a price for that treason.

Coming soon to your computer screen: The bloody but hilarious leftist Rat Civil War.

Buy popcorn. Lots.

Bad move.

She’ll be confirmed, regardless; but if the DIMS do it in the lame duck session, they own her.

Once the new Senate convenes, the MSM will wail non-stop about the racist, sexist Republicans until they cave; thereby pi$$ing off those of us who held our nose yet again.

She’ll be confirmed, regardless;

I don't think so.

Eff the MSM, the 'pubs have a mandate, we just need a new Senate Majority Leader with the kahonies to do what's right and electing a new majority leader will be the first thing on the agenda in 2015.

Can you say not Mitch McConnell?

Proposed AG will last only 2 years.

Newly appointed Federal judges will last 30 years.

Pay attention to which is more serious. A slew of liberal judges will doom the country lot longer than any voter ID issues for 2 years.

I don’t believe there’s a feud between Reid and Obama for one minute. Reid is up for reelection in 2016. He’s just trying to distance himself from Obama. It’s hard to tell which one is the sleaziest, Reid, Obama or the MSM bootlickers who worship all things Dem.

I guess Dingy Harry isn't too happy with the mid-term disaster after Obola made the election about him:

"Barky? This is Harry. Sorry, we're REAL busy down here, but we can squeeze Lynch in sometime in late January, hope that works for you. Oh, and - have a nice day."

Newly appointed Federal judges will last 30 years.

Like I said, NO lame duck confirmations!

The Senate docket is already too full of unfinished business to have room for confirmations.

From what I can tell, Obama not shutting down his campaign organization (Organizing For America, OFA) after winning the Presidency is very out of the ordinary. He has competed for $$ with the DNC. I like this.
