thank god I finished high school in the 90s! We had good lunches then. Loved the pizza day. They sold cinnabons. I knew a teachers aid who would get me junk food from the machine in the teachers lounge.

We had a math teacher who would sell candy at his desk at lunch. His candy, his profit.

Every day I hear PSAs on the radio complaining that the kids are going hungry each day. The PSAs want people to give to food banks. The number of hungry kids ranges from 13 to 17 million, depending on the ad and the celebrity involved in it.

I wonder why? Almost any family or adult who state they have no income can qualify for emergency EBT/food stamps.

I wonder if the "Feds" can afford to pay for "Free Lunches?"

In reality while we had a school cafeteria(in the 1940's) most of us brought our own lunches from home. I can't remember ever eating in the school cafeteria.
