Charlotte Fitzmaurice Wise, the mother of Nancy, stated... “She went in pain. It will stay with me forever. Although I will live with the guilt forever, I know I have done everything I can for her and she is at peace.”

And she knows this how?

What I can’t figure out is: the mom admits she knew her daughter was in pain while dying. So, why didn’t she intervene to stop it? This is just so inhuman, I can barely stand it. Even if the mom had wanted the euthanasia to begin with, once she saw the resulting pain, why didn’t she step in?? I know parents of disabled kids have a hard time of it; but come on, when you see your kid suffering??? I guess the mom really just wanted the kid to go away.

One of the many reasons why I won’t vote for Jeb Bush is because of the Terri Schiavo situation. Unless you are in the natural process of dying, dehydration is murder.

A relative of mine died from Alzheimer’s last spring. We requested that in her final days, that she was to kept hydrated as much as possible, as humanely as possible. Sometimes dying patients won’t or can’t drink or their veins can’t take an IV-even so, there are things that can be done to help. I can’t imagine under any circumstance purposely putting someone thru dehydration.
