I will opt out for my child.

Hopefully, before our cold civil war goes hot.

Opt-out if you can. If you can't, your children need to be drilled in the following response to any question about firearms:

"My parents have ordered me not to answer. You will have to ask them any questions about firearms."

Just make it a rule in the household: Public schools are the government. You don’t fill out surveys on your personal life or your family because it is none of the government’s business and it will be used against you. You talk to government officials about your personal life with a lawyer or your parents present.

Teachers often times do keep track of who says what even when they deny it. Don’t announce you are not filling out the survey. Act like you are but turn it in blank. If they know you turned it in blank, that proves they keep track of the surveys. They can call your parents if they have a problem with this parental rule.
