The demise of the Tea Party has been greatly exaggerated

“The demise of the TEA Party has been greatly exaggerated.”

Exactly. While a number of TEA Party challengers got screwed over in the primaries, most notably Chris McDaniel in Mississippi, a number of TEA Party candidates won office last Tuesday.

Maine’s TEA Party governor, Paul LePage, was re-elected; a conservative won Maine’s 2nd Congressional district, the largest district east of the Mississippi, in area; Mia Love won in Utah, to name just a few.

Anyone who under-estimates the TEA Party does so at their peril.

No Kidding. There were a lot of good conservatives elected last week. It is probably better to let these people go on thinking the TP lost.
