The only thing better than Bacon-Ice Cream Sandwiches is ... (and YES! This is a recipe from my own kitchen that I eat regularly.) ..... a sandwich made with Rye Toast, generously buttered and slathered in Grape Jelly or (even better) preserves enclosing a layer of thick cut Bacon and two Jumbo Eggs lightly scrambled and sprinkled with Black Pepper.

Normal for you, not for me. Animals are sentient and helpless creatures of God and they have souls. I think they deserve to live their lives just as abortion victims do. I won’t eat them or support wholesale slaughter of animals or children. It is unnecessary.

Again, that statement is absurd. We are what we are due to what we eat, and what we've eaten to advance to this state in our development is specifically due to our consumption of cooked animal flesh. It IS necessary, and whether you like it or not, you are here due that fact.

I'm not going to argue or dispute anything you've said. You are welcome to your opinion.

I am going to ask you a serious question. It's hypothetical, but serious.

Suppose you are armed. Say you have a pistol in your pocket and are carrying it legally concealed.
You come upon an animal in the process of attacking another animal, presumably for food. Say for instance a wolf or fox attacking a chicken.

What do you do?

Advance to what state? Mythology does not equal facts. E.g. - the satanic Islamic cultures worldwide elevate animal slaughter to its “highest” form. The are an evil, devil worshipping death cult. They abhor dogs because dogs humanize people and they kill them whenever they find them. Islamist’s perform ritual slaughter of all Gods creation because their “god” didn’t spill His own blood to reconcile them so they need to keep performing animal sacrifices to please Satan. In “developed” western cultures, we slaughter animals by the millions to support the McFood industry which feeds us poison
and tells us we’re “Lovin it” -

Let nature be nature. Thy Will Not Mine be Done. I am fortunate to live in a modern world where I can be healthy and survive by eating produce and by not killing or supporting the killing of animals for things I can get from plants.

Its all moot anyway because it's been long enough that even if I tried to eat a rib eye (yum) I'd just get really sick.

That has to be one of the most retarded posts I've read in a long while, and more specifically, a distinct non sequitur.

Our current development, specifically our Brains, is due to cooking and consuming animal flesh.

We've advanced to our current level of intelligence and our current sophistication of society because we learned how to cook the flesh of animals prior to eating them.

We may now be able to adjust our diets to remove most of the consumption of animal flesh by substituting other items, but to what end? If our goal is to bring about the decline of humanity or reverse the advancement of humans, and also society and civilization as a direct consequence of such a goal, then perhaps your personal belief is warranted.

From my point of view, right or wrong, I see no point in adjusting my diet to satisfy an ideological belief, and I prefer to continue to follow the diet that has improved the human race.

Good luck with your beliefs. You are welcome to them.

A friend of mine who is a vegetarian tried to order a cheese sandwich from McDonalds (hey, we were hungry and it was the only place around besides I wanted a Big Mac).

We ended up ordering him a cheese burger, hold the burger. It was horrible. He threw it away. Cheese not melted. Dry. Don’t try it.

It is hypothetical, but not moot.
Your digestive habits were not the point of the question.

In your previous post, you equated the killing of animals with abortion:

"Animals are sentient and helpless creatures of God and they have souls. I think they deserve to live their lives just as abortion victims do."

My question sought to discover if your application of that principle was consistently absolute, situational or conditional.

What you appear to be saying (judging by what you've posted so far) is that killing animals for food is wrong (tantamount to abortion/murder) when people do it, but perfectly OK if animals do it.

I grew up close to the Farmer John Meat slaughterhouse in the industrial district in Los Angeles. They only truck in the animals at night after the area is reasonably clear of people because the screaming of the pigs is horrifying to listen to. 60,000 a year are shot, electrocuted or boiled alive at this one plant alone just for Dodger dogs - this is happening while the other pigs (really intelligent animals) are looking on awaiting the same fate. That’s what got me interested in finding out all I could about animal slaughter.

I’m talking about the slaughter industry! I am not a hunter that kills one animal to feed my family for 6 months. I live in a city with grocery stores. A wolf killing a chicken is hardly the same as the slaughter of millions of animals for little Fat assed Tommy and Susies hamburgers. Even so, why would I have an issue with a wolf killing a chicken. Should I protest a great white shark killing a sea lion? You’re being intentionally obtuse - further, why are you threatened if I choose to not eat a dead animal? I wouldn’t eat my dog or my cat either

"...why are you threatened if I choose to not eat a dead animal?"

I'm not. And I specifically stated that I do not care about your dietary habits.

"A wolf killing a chicken is hardly the same as the slaughter of millions of animals for little Fat assed Tommy and Susies hamburgers"

I did not make any such comparison.

"You’re being intentionally obtuse ..."

Hardly. You drew a specific comparison between the killing of animals for food (how and in what numbers is a separate issue altogether) and the killing of human babies. You are now using invective in place of addressing the issue *you* raised.

When I get to the Hunter Valley I will pop in for a Burger and some abuse - just for fun :). He sounds like the Soup Nazi - good on him it’s his restaurant and most Aussies abuse their mates so it sounds just like home!

I also refuse to eat rotting corpses of animals (including humans).

The animal meat I eat came from the carcass of an animal that led a comfortable life and was well fed, then suddenly, without fear or pain was dead and provided me some great tasting, healthy food.

Nodding my head, tapping my cane, and stating ‘Here, Here”!

Neanderthals ate raw meat. Then discovered fire. Learned how to make it on demand. Learned that cooking the MEAT was tastier and far easier to digest.

What they did not realize was the protein from cooked meats and fats enlarged their brains and enabled them to advance their intelligence.

That is why I refuse to be a vegan.

I do not want to digress.

Good on you for sticking to your beliefs even if I don’t wholeheartedly agree with them I do admire people who behave consistently with what they believe. Biblically speaking we were given animals to sustain us. That said there is no excuse for torturing or treating animals in anyway that does not give respect to their maker.

As I get older I am finding that eating too much of my favorite fat laden meat products means that I gain weight so I am cutting down to try and suit my intake needs as my output does not match that of a younger man.
