Harding may have been corrupt but he wasn’t incompetent.

Viewed from a traditional social-science perspective, the 2014 election results appear nonsensical. Historians of the future, if there are any, will look back on this one as a head-scratcher, or possibly a tolling bell. Opinion polling clearly tells us that the public dislikes both political parties, but in general Republicans are even less popular than Democrats

And, of course, pubic opinion polls are more valid that election results. This guy is a world class douchewaffle.

If Republicans are less popular than Democrats, then why did Republicans do so well in these elections?

He already has the answer to the dilemma he describes. As someone has said “Conservatives think liberals are stupid; liberals think conservatives are evil.: to wit:

“I know what the Republicans are against – they’re against Obamacare and immigration and taxes and environmental regulations and gay marriage and abortion. Broadly speaking, they’re against women and gays and black people and Muslims and Mexicans, all of whom are plotting to spread Ebola, but they have learned by trial and error to speak about those things in modulated tones, and with asterisks.”

It will never change so long as liberals combine the worst of both ideologies; that is to say liberals are apparently both stupid and evil.

DEMOCRACY
Political or social equality

REPUBLIC
a state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them.

I guess it is on the critical list

This guys need to read the Judicial Watch article about the 814 exit-voting poll, it ‘should’ clear things right up.

How are we in a toxic political cycle, and threatening democracy and all that, as a result of these elections?

I understand political leanings and all that, and that the liberals had a bad election cycle. My point being, candidates ran for office, the people voted for candidates of their choice, and those candidates will take office. What exactly is wrong with this picture? Isn’t that what is supposed to happen in our constitutional republic?

Did this writer have the same thoughts in Nov. 2008, when a liberal president was elected along with big numbers of his fellow Democrats in Congress that year????

Whenever I read sour grape articles such as this, I remind myself that had the Democrats won like this, the tone would be different.

These articles are not unbiased analysis. They are the bitterness of people who lost terribly big

Liberals and conservatives both think the government is dysfunctional but its the liberals who always want more and more government.
If Congress can never get anything done why is government and the national debt bigger than ever ?

Democrat Gaslighting

Gaslighting or gas-lighting is a form of mental abuse
in which false information is presented with the intent
of making victims doubt their own memory, perception, and sanity.

"driven them nuts"

I think this fellow, O'Hehir, was quite deranged before the election.

Outlawing the Democrat Party would be a good first step.

No, 2008 proved for liberals that ‘democracy’ works just fine.

And again in ‘12. Then they starting sticking knives in Americans, financial, health, school lunches, natsec, deadly diseases and are flabbergasted that the demos part of their ‘democracy’ switched sides to the guys NOT sticking knives in them who campaign on pulling the knives out.

I can’t understand why this is so hard for the left to get.

This a good example of what this writer is talking about.

The left is motivated by hate and anger.

We should do more to encourage this type of thinking among members of the left-wing political elites.
