I just suppose God does what He wants. If He wants it to play out over a billion of our years or snap his finger and do it now it’s his choice.

After all, He is God.

I put it this way: Ever read a book (/rhetorical)? Don't the characters have a back story that begins BEFORE page 1 of the book? ALWAYS.

God, as the Author or Creation, could have done exactly the same thing. To wit: There is nothing mutually exclusive about God creating the universe including Earth several thousand years ago AND the universe being several billion years old...
