Vladimir also said the the fall of the Soviet Union was the worst disaster of the Twentieth Century.

I would guess that our president would agree.

The worst geopolitical disaster too. World War II was just a bump in the road in his view, which he’s displaying again.

There’s something going on with this guy. Something is wrong with his head. This is way over the top. How many U. S. S. R. citizens died in WWII? Figures range from 20 to 40 million.

I think the 20 million range is more accurate, but even at that, to state there was nothing wrong with the Hitler pact?

Really? Wow!

The more rope this guy gets, the more he proves what we’ve been trying to say about him.

Communism was far more than just the so-called second world. It was (and is) all over central and southern Africa and tried to get its hooks into a lot of South America too. The true death toll could be a great deal higher.

Then there’s the Islamic version of Nazism, which started not too long after the founding of the state of Israel. Just look up how many of the “revolutionary” regimes were both Arab nationalist and Islamic socialist.

If this guy has a P.R. agent, the agent must be doing his best to make him wear a muzzle by now.

Putin brought back the May Day military parades in Red Square this year, and compared the body of Lenin to a holy relic.

He is in pretty deep

Yes, I would say so.

Wasn’t it Lenin whose statues were torn down all over Russia, by the Russians?

And now he’s praising the guy?

Perhaps I’ve have my figures mixed up, but I believe that’s right.

Yep. Today’s Russia sends official complaints to other countries when a Lenin statue is torn down.

He also brought back an old Soviet program to get people “physically fit” enough for military service. Using the money left from the Sochi Olympics.

There’s a cultural arrogance about Russians. One of their sayings goes, “Nobody can ever speak Russian without an accent unless he’s born here!”

Apparently the Germans fooled Stalin, who BTW spoke Russian with a thick Georgian accent. How thick? According to Solzhenitsyn, Stalin speaking Russian sounded like a Russian speaking heavily accented English.
