President Obama will act on his own using his executive authority to enact immigration reform, according to White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest during the press briefing today.
“The answer is yes, the president is going to take action,” Earnest said, when questioned about Obama’s motives on executive action in spite of warnings from Republicans that it would "poison the well" in negotiations with Congress.
Earnest insisted that action on immigration reform would be good for the country, good for the economy, good for border security, good for immigrants, and good for business.
The message of the election, Earnest explained, was that Americans were frustrated with the federal government for not generating results in Washington D.C.

No, but his impeachment and conviction most certainly would be.
If we are going to help Mexico’s economy, I would rather we put money into businesses located in Mexico. At least that way there would be some hope of an end to it.
The House can defund any/all aspects of this plus 0bamacare and anything else. Why is this more than ho-hum?

Maybe it’s part of the job, but each WH press secretary seems smarmier than the last. I didn’t like Gibbs, I liked Carney less, and Earnest... he’s the worst so far.
Hell, even his name is hard to take seriously. It’s an oxymoron: “Josh”, as in joking/joshing, and then “Earnest”, as if he’s intending to be honest and believable.
