Deliverance II, etc.

Deliverance, II

Monday on talk radio we heard a woman pronounce herself devoted to education and say she would vote for Mary Burke because Governor Walker had been bad for teachers and it was “time for a change.”

Astoundingly, she went on to agree that teachers should contribute some payment toward their health insurance and pensions, and that they should not be forced to pay union dues against their will. The woman was dumbstruck to learn she was agreeing with Walker on the most salient aspects of his Act 10 reforms, but unmoved on the question of whether he had to go.

Anecdotal, yes, but a performance wholly consistent with the near four-year anti-Walker campaign waged by Big Labor and Big Media the beginning, middle, and end of which has consisted of willfully ignorant, raging hate.

On Tuesday, the people who do the work and pay the bills and just want an even chance to keep Wisconsin a decent place to live understood all that, and showed up to defend Walker against the invasion by out-of-state labor goons who thought they could roll in and rig the election by dragging unlikely voters to the polls.

The margin was convincing at 52 percent. It is also worth noting that Brad Schimel was elected attorney general by a similar margin —tending to bear out the thinking that if Walker fell to the leftist assault, both probably would. Thanks to a more sophisticated electorate than Democrats were banking on, we emerge from a vicious campaign season with a solid attorney general and arguably the nation’s boldest Conservative reform governor.

There could be no safe assumption it would turn out this way. All thanks and praise to the clear-eyed, clear-headed citizens of Wisconsin.

A Betrayal of Trust

Much has been said about the bumbling failure of Wisconsin’s mainstream media to examine the circumstances of Mary Burke’s departure from the family company, Trek Bicycle. When the story of her firing broke in alternative media one week before yesterday’s election, they could have pursued it, could have unearthed new information, might have either weakened or strengthened the story.

They did none of that.

Instead, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel flew into an incandescent rage (in marked contrast with its more usual compact fluorescent rage,) against the story’s sources, launching not a journalistic investigation but a full-on counterattack. Was the objective to rescue Burke, or something else?

Words like journalistic malpractice have been used, not inappropriately, but this episode has the aroma of something far worse.

It has been credibly reported that at least one source of the firing story offered it to “mainstream” media months ago and found them uninterested. That is, a presumably knowledgeable source presented information suggesting Burke’s image as a successful businesswoman was a deliberate fiction, and was brushed off by the guardians of “the people’s right to know.”

We don’t know if they checked and found the story weak, or false, or verified it, because they withheld this potentially decisive information from voters and were finally caught with their pants around their ankles by someone whose journalistic credentials they regard with sneering contempt.

So here’s the bottom line: It is reasonable to ask whether the Journal-Sentinel conducted an active cover-up on behalf of a Liberal candidate. It is reasonable to further ask if their enraged reaction to others breaking the story is an active—make that aggressive—cover-up of a prior cover-up.

Any questions about the competence of Wisconsin’s mainstream media seem to have been resolved. Draw your own conclusions about their worthiness of trust.

Hold on Tight

Passing one historic milestone in Tuesday’s expulsion of Democrats from the U.S. Senate majority, prepare for another. By the time you read the Obama regime’s will be transitioning from haughty indifference toward America’s interests to outright hostility.

It was coming with or without Tuesday’s rebuke.

Watch for overnight legitimization of millions of illegal aliens for purposes of rendering already dubious ballot security entirely meaningless.

Watch for an extralegal deal allowing Iran to manufacture nuclear weapons, and a press release claiming the opposite.

Watch for a flood of wild leftists installed in lifetime federal judgeships through lame-duck Senate confirmation whether to fill vacancies or not. (Susan Happ, check your voice mail.)

Watch for another aggressive race-hustler—like Labor Secretary Thomas Perez—to succeed Attorney General Eric Holder and wage a two-year war against private property, free speech and self-defense.

Republican congressional majorities can halt these offenses, but not before January.

Success in American politics often arises from treating people who don’t unquestioningly buy into an agenda as potential allies who may be brought along. The current regime treats such people as enemies to be ridiculed, intimidated, and crushed. This explains why Obama, despite getting nearly everything he’s asked for, is seen nevertheless as an abject and contemptible failure: A nation craving leadership instead got government by blunt instrument, score-settling and slander, all to be expected when incompetence fueled by ideology is exposed to the harsh light of day.

For having the bad manners to notice and the bad timing to notice six years too late, America will pay for many years to come.

Democrat/communist propaganda organs masquerading as news outlets is the result of the communist “long march through the institutions” they promised in 1968.

“Does an ursine creature conduct its ablutions in an arboreal surrounding ? “

love it.

Would love it even more if it was a bodacious ablution which descended upon the Obamadork thereby coating him with the offal of liberalism.

The WI Club for growth really needs to get at Chisholm, the East German Stasi Milwaukee DA that launched secret and bogus investigation against Walker and his administration. Chisholm is being sued by Eric O’Keefe (AFP) but he needs to be taken down once and for all. Chisholm denied the free speech rights of public interest groups by launching pre-dawn SWAT raids against them.
Chisholm needs to pay with jail time and financial ruin.

Note that this is from WI Club for Growth, one of the subjects of early morning para-military raids and gag orders that effectively neutered their ability to participate in this election. For those who are not up on what happened, there is a ton of info on that subject here

We need to take advantage of the majority given us to ensure that none of this happens again.

I believe that ablution means cleansing or bathing; the opposite of offal.
