Less than two months after their most joyous moment together, the relationship between the Obama White House and Senate Democrats went off track and has never recovered.
Instead of basking in the victory glow of President Obama’s impressive 2012 reelection and an improbable two-seat gain for Democrats, they found themselves at the edge of the now infamous “fiscal cliff.”
But Reid’s operation, along with his close ally, Sen. Charles E. Schumer, did not trust Obama’s negotiating skills.
At that point, McConnell called Biden and famously asked: “Does anyone down there know how to make a deal?”
Reid, Schumer and other leaders and their advisers then waited to see the final details, furious that the deal was being made. Democrats leaked stories to The Post, Politico and other outlets about how at one point Reid took an offer that Obama was considering making to McConnell and threw it into the fireplace in his office on the second floor of the Capitol as others watched.
On Tuesday, after Democrats got stomped, the man they feared the most, Mitch McConnell, had the biggest smile of all.
“Friends, this experiment in Big Government has lasted long enough. It’s time to move in a new direction,” he said in claiming victory.

There were ties alright. They were direct, intimate and LONG-STANDING. These ‘ties’ were supremely beneficial to all these Democrats right from the moment America first heard of “Obama”.
Every single one of these Democrats (the same ones who denounce "O" today) were on the “O” gravy train. They demonstrated the most blindly servile idolatry toward "O" and would gladly fight to the death over his toe nail clippings.
But NOW... all of the sudden their ‘ties’ are ‘Awkward’? Really??

One of the very first things that Boehner, McConnell and their GOP chambers need to address is this Leftist government’s assault on private property and land owners. The EPA budget should be cut at least 50%. Rain puddles on a property do NOT make that property a target for EPA control under any sane interpretation of the Clean Water Act.
This would put all government agencies on notice that this nation has not been transformed into a Communist state and property owners would again have ownership of their own property.

They never had any relationship.
Senate Demos knew what this guy’s abilities were before 2008. They, like most of the left, knew only his skin color, and the rest be dammed.
As long as the ruse held up (and it did) the relationship was there.
Now? Oh now we get to hear the stories of how stupid Obama has always been, and it will become a deafening drumbeat from here into the future, especially after 2016.

IMHO the RATS stole the 2012 election - the American legal voting citizens did not “elect” this clown a second time.
You got that right. The EPA is the biggest burr under my saddle followed closely by TSA.
This is an astoundingly revealing article. Definitely worth saving.
Mostly what it shows is that Dems knew his policies were bad, but kept mum to show outward unity and paint Republicans - some of whom some of them actually agreed with on some issues - as extremists on those issues.
Kabuki theater - Rats are showing Obama under the bus to save themselves. Obama is vengeful (or at least his staff is), so they do so at their own peril.
The Democrats who NOW claim they never agreed with “O” are either lying (I am sure of this) or so stupid, they don’t see a difference between agreeing THEN and pretending to DISAGREE now.

They are trying to distance the Congressional Dems (that are left) from Obama fro 2016. They know it going to be a rough two years ahead. These senators knew what they were doing and banked on the wrong guy. Deals have been made in Congress for over two hundred years for one party or another. They may have been whipped in an election but they will come back, sooner or later....................
