"Poison the well" is so weak, so wrong-headed to be astounding. McConnell is saying to Obola, not to "poison the well" by using his pen to sign an executive amnesty. This makes the issue one of personalities and not policy, legality or constitutional fidelity. That the importance of executive amnesty is that it will affect the possibility of action on other issues.
