Elise Stefanik, 30, became the youngest woman elected to Congress in the nation's history on Tuesday, winning New York's 21st open district 56-32 against Democrat Aaron Woolf.
"I didn't think I was ever going to run for office," Stefanik, a Republican, told Business Insider in the lead-up to Election Day.

A black woman Republican was elected to Congress from Utah yesterday.
Three women Republican governors, two of them who are minorities, were re-elected yesterday.
And we hear that the GOP has a war on women, and is racist/bigoted, so that women and minorities need to be Democrat.
What happened to that calculus????

New Yorkers had a Beethoven moment; they voted Für Elise.
Northern New York district (23rd District before 2010) and traditional Republican seat for over a century until kicked away by Dede Scozzafava.

Way upstate, huge area-wise, runs from Vermont line to the St Lawrence, north of Albany and Utica, and all the way up to the NY border with Quebec.

I’ll bet the Rino’s are just salivating to get their hands on some of these newbies, you know just to steer them in what they see as the right direction.
Beware the Rino’s they may be big ugly, but they are sweet talkers to the untrained ear.
upstate had been R for a century then flipped Dem a few years ago - Dede Scozz-what’s-her-name lost it.
