There’s something to be said for that. The Tea Party wing of the GOP needs to find better candidates. Running someone with a lot of baggage doesn’t do anyone any good.

Its easy enough to say that but the GOPe defends their bad behavior and uses the "bad candidate" mantra to destroy anyone who gets in their way.

The GOP wanted pure insider party player Dave Camp to run but he refused. Instead Terri Land ran, she had a GOPe pedigree but wasn't unfriendly to the tea party so they immediately started the Grimsley Wormtongue whisper campaign.

They started with the "She's gaffe prone" line while never providing any examples. Then they move on to "She's a bad campaigner" with no examples and they very publically strip her of funding. In the end what really made her bad was standing against amnesty and supporting a full repeal of Obamacare. But the worst sin was in speaking against DC centric senate power. Things like stripping the power of infrastructure funding from the feds and letting the states keep their tax dollars for doing it themselves.

I realize the Rovian groin leeches don't like hearing it but they are barely human and unworthy of respect.

I did my job and worked to help wrest power from the democrats and now I go back to exposing the GOPe scum wherever they may be found, often oozing up between our toes here at FR.
