Gasoline...NO. Diesel...Yes, if the station allows. Keeps a lots of people employed and idiot drivers from discharging static while pumping their own.

Funny thing in Oregon and I think New Jersey is the other one.

As a lifelong Oregonian I like having other people come and pump my gas, provided they are professional and friendly (and they should be, having easy jobs you can't get just anywhere).

Here in NM I have had to get used to pumping my own and honestly I think it is worth 2 cents more to have someone else do it.

I don't think it should be a mandate though, I think there might be better ways to encourage it in the marketplace.
