Cue the usual crew to opine that this is just a ruse and voter fraud is going to steal it.

Colorado GOP Turns Out 61.1% of Its Registered Members, Democrats Turn Out 51.5% Only 51% for democrats!
That's pretty low for them.
Sometimes democrats in other states turn out 110%, 120% or more.

Wouldn’t this tend to undermine polling results that intentionally “oversample” Democrats by anywhere from four to ten percent?

50% is a huge turnout for a midterm, anyway!

This time around Dem voters may not necessarily vote Dem. Fundamental transformation affects people of all races, creeds, and color.

I expect a flood of Dem mail-in ballots in CO on the last day (today). Some might say coincidence, some might say Dems tend to procrastinate. Some might say the Dems prefer their ballots to arrive at the most hectic time of day, so they are less likely to be inspected closely. Even more Dems ballots might arrive throughout the evening, from mysterious places like car trunks and neglected store rooms.
I also expect a flood of voters to storm the polls today, claiming they never received their ballot forms, demanding to be allowed to vote NOW. You're not supposed to notice they all got off the same bus, btw. If allowed to vote, there'll be a Democrat surge - if not allowed, it's the basis for claims of vote fraud and legal action to void the election results.

I dropped off my husband’s ballot today in Colorado Springs, and the line to drop off at the library was really long. I’m going to guess 30 cars long? I had business in the area a few hours later and when I went past later, the line was equally long.
Finally, the lady I lunched with had been there before the lunch hour, and it was packed.
This is easily the most conservative county in the state, so I am feeling hopeful right now.

When I showed up at the polls this morning they were just setting up. I and another voter helped them set the cookies out (this is a really small, converted one-room schoolhouse in the woods), voted, and left thinking gosh, turnout is sure light this year. By the time I hit the door I noticed the parking lot was full, they were parking on the grass, and in was walking a whole lot of the grimmest faces I've ever seen. Honest, it looked like a lynch mob and I was durn glad they weren't after me. These folks were HOT.
I don't think the Dems did very well out there. Just a suspicion.

I should explain that was in a very little place in northern Idaho.

So, 49 percent of registered voters have already voted. When pundits project 2.1M voters in Colorado, that would mean 70.3 percent turnout. That seems awfully high in a non-presidential year. So, yesterday I said that perhaps 2/3 have already voted, but it may be higher than that.It is impossible to underestimate just how white-hot angry people in Colorado were after the Democrats crammed through the anti-gun legislation last year. They have not forgotten. I hope some lessons are learned tonight.
