“Jobs, lower gas prices, energy independence—what’s wrong with that?” he asked. “Let’s just do it.”

So Obama is going to allow the GOP to pass legislation concerning "Jobs, lower gas prices, energy independence" but not anything where Obamacare is concerned?

Does anyone else see the dishonesty in that statement?

Obamacare should be first out of the box. Then work on the IRS, EPA....

I fear this is just more talk and no action on the things we the people want.

They aren’t going to get Obamacare repealed with a Democrat President. But put Obama in a position where he has to veto the Keystone Pipeline, that will leave a mark. This approach makes sense, you have to pick your battles, and get ready for 2016.

Watch out for Senator Portman. He's slick, he's the ultimate RINO, and he's stayed on the sidelines. Check his resume. He's a RINO dream. Because he's not tarnished, he can try to position himself as a compromise between RINOs and the Tea Party.

Never forget he opened the floodgates when his first action as a US Senator was to support gay marriage "out of love for his son". He doesn't have a conservative bone in his body. He's not dumb, and he's pretty well informed, so maybe more dangerous than the RINOs who are out front. JMHO

Yes, I see the dishonesty.

Portman was also part of the McConnell PAC gang that funded Cochran’s fraud in Mississippi against Tea Party Conservative Chris McDaniels and which also led to the wrongful death of Mark Mayfield who was a good guy.

Portman is part and parcel to the McConnell GOPe; He can go straight to F’n hell with the rest of his crony cabal.

“Jobs, lower gas prices, energy independence...

I do not readily condemn this. The Repubs know that they have to get through the lame-duck session first, assuming they win the majority. The name of the game, as I see it, is political expediency. The XL pipeline is a vote that some Dems will gladly or reluctantly sign onto. It is a step toward getting the Dem fence-sitters to turn away from that bahstid Harry Reid. And, it allows for some real movement. These Dems will just let Obama take the blame when he vetoes the bill.

However, the Repubs have got to come through in attempting to repeal Obamacare. As the train wreck of Obamacare plays out, the demand to repeal it will increase. The time to strike with the most velocity will come.

FWIW

There.
Fixed it.
