North Carolina Democrats are taking to black churches today - and tomorrow for so called "Moral Monday" in an effort to drag Kay Hagan over the finish line before Republican Thom Tillis in North Carolina's Senate race. Hagan is a mere +1 in the current Real Clear Politics poll average, making the race too close to call.
At churches across North Carolina, ministers took to pulpits Sunday morning with messages laced as thickly with pleas to turn out at the polls as they were with scripture. Led by the local NAACP, black churches have engaged in months of voter education efforts and "moral Monday" events urging voters to go to the polls.
North Carolina went for Barack Obama in 2008, yet bailed on him in 2012. Now, with his popularity all but non-existent among many voters, Democrats are looking to drive up voting among blacks in North Carolina, who continue to have a mostly popular view of him. They hope to boost black participation up to approximately 20%.
The morning's third sermon was delivered by Rev. Dr. William Barber, president of the NC NAACP chapter ... Barber never mentioned either Senate candidate by name, but railed against "politicians in the state of North Carolina" who have opposed early voting, have "attacked education" (a popular critique of Tillis because of his support for state education cuts), and those who have "tried to limit healthcare."
"Almost as though they have been seduced by another spirit to deny healthcare and deny living wages and deny public education," Barber declared in deep baritone, clad in a purple and white pastoral robe. "They do it just because they can! They give more wealth to the wealthy and they give more grief to the poor!"

These pro-abortion black “pastors” are ministers of Satan. They are notoriously sexually promiscuous, and have been for generations. Planned Parenthood doesn’t even need to bribe them.
Come next Sunday they will be blaming their problems on the half-white president.
I know its a few states away, but perhaps Elbert Guillory’s message would be poignant to these North Carolinians.

We’ll see. I have a feeling that everyone outside of Asheville and Boone are fed up, and all the urban parts of Charlotte and Raleigh just voted.
Yes, these “churches” are political fronts (and tax-dodging scams). A black former co-worker of mine showed me a periodical their “pastor” used in their storefront “church”; it was filled with articles about obtaining tax-exemption (and had little religious content). She described them asking members for their W-2s, and when the collection basket was passed around it was an atmosphere intimate enough that the pastor could see who gave what (all cash). If he deemed you could give more, he would publicly announce that “X doesn’t feel like sharing today” and the basket would come back to that person - who would be shamed/threatened into forking over more. She was also terrified that other members in our workplace would find out she revealed anything to us.
Very cult-like, and a great moneymaker for the “holy man”...
I’m quite sure the IRS monitors are on them...
I live in Raleigh and have never seen that until today. My son lives in a small town near Charlotte and never saw it either. What a sad waste of such a powerful message.
Then the GOP wonders why they lose elections.
