Just something to think about along with this dimwitted reporter’s commentary of the 52,000 kids being “anywhere”. Based on reasonable national numbers....we have around 1.5 million kids (17 and below) who over the past twenty years have run away from home. The Feds, the state, and local authorities all tend to say....they could also....could be “anywhere”.

We didn’t seem to worry about the 1.5 million....so, what’s the deal over a lousy 52,000? I don’t want to seem cynical but I’ve got 10,000 things to worry about, and this seems to be around 9,988 on my list....right before aliens coming tonight to grab me, or my cat throwing up a hairball on the couch.

You might care if one of these illegal kids carrying infectious diseases like EV-D-68 (endemic in Central America) was sitting next to your kid in middle school this autumn, and your kid wound up dead or paralyzed with polio-like symptoms.
