There is a good deal of truth, in one sense, to the “you didn’t build that” notion.

To build a successful business requires infrastructure and rule of law. Just a fact.

In an anarchic society nobody could build such a business.

However, it’s also true that individuals build businesses that would not otherwise exist. Not entirely on their own, but working within the system provided by their society.

Yes, an opportunity for the initiative to build a business.

Wishful Democrats passing all their taxes and regulation will diminish that opportunity and initiative.

If it is so easy, why don’t you get off your backside and build a business.

They used roads built by taxes which they paid just like everybody else. Protection is provided by police paid by taxes which they paid just like everybody else. etc. etc. etc.

The only time they don’t pay taxes just like everybody else is when the GOVERNMENT gives them a tax break.

I would disagree; it was human enterprise/business that built the infrastructure. The pioneers made their way through the wilderness, cleared the forests, built their homes and planted their crops; and as they prospered, they and the businesses which soon followed built the roads and the ferries, dug the wells; these endeavors were, improved, advanced and increased by each successive generation. It was business that built the infrastructure not the other way around. It was in this prosperous and free thinking clime that inventors and thinkers were able to harness electricity, build magnificent bridges, invent the airplane, and develop all of the other wonderful infrastructure we have today. Think about it, which came first, the cattle ranches or the railroad?
