They succeeded, but it cost them dearly. McConnell and Cornyn won with 60%, Graham with 56%, Cochran with 50%, Alexander with 48% and Roberts with 47%.
Their "warchests" have been drained and donations have dried up. And their "electable" candidates have struggled to stay above water.
And there's always another election coming!
‘And there’s always another election coming!’
Elections are troublesome for the ruling class. They, the elections, need to be eliminated.
Now that I’ve said that, why doesn’t the concept also apply to the ruling class?
Hmmmm?
So the GOPe can gloat and give us Jeb Bush to run against Hillary. He’ll lose, but losing is what the GOPe is good at.
Day after the election we will all meet here to discuss what happened. I feel we will be ok with the results BUT still need to raise the roof with the GOPe...
This election should have been a cake walk....GOPe has only themselves to blame.
let’s say the GOP won every single race — how much would things change?
TheyI don’t like me. They don’t like you. They hate Sarah and they hate Cruz. We are an embarrassment to them.
The GOP will win and in order to show what gracious winners they are they will independently *initiate* amnesty while we look on in horrified astonishment.
Ditching Mitch would be good too, but not so likely now.
people go into government and if they stay there it’s because they think Gummint is Good.
How many little kids run a lemonaide stand because they believe it’s actually an impediment to good health..?
the GOP fly off to DC where they learn they’re viewed as chess club geeks and they spend their terms yearning for the approval of the letterman jacket guys.
They wrote that article and failed to mention Mississippi once. I can’t help but think that particular oversight was deliberate.
I’m not. I firmly believe we’re at the point of no return.
Vote commie nationally to make the fedgov even more untenable to the low information voter.
Vote conservative locally, and force the convention.
If republicans pull this out in a significant way, then we must hold their feet to the fire, on every issue bombard them every day with phone calls, emails, townhalls, even large protests, you can bet the liberals will doing it.
If we want them to take us seriously, we must not become complacent, the mess we are is ultimately the fault of “We The People”, we must get engaged and stay vigilant, if we want to restore our Free Republic. One thing we can count on, the liberals will be fully engaged regardless of the outcome of any election, we must respond in kind.
So sorry to disagree with many of the Freeper posters on this sight. No one is mor conservative then I am. I go all the way back to supporting Barry Goldwater from 1958 on. To me....this coming elecion next Tuesday is one the most important elections in USA history!!! We must slaughter the entire Democrat Party, politcally. It is as simple as that.
And......that means one thing.....turnout, turnout, turnout!!! I have already voted....ya all should exactly the same...and vote against every single Democrat running for office this year!!! A stay at home, non-vote is vote for POTUS Barack Hussein Obama!!!
Yes you are correct.
The GOP should be routing the dems by double digits high teens to twenties in most races, especially the incumbents. Instead, there are razor thin margins to single digits that are explainable by the lack of appeal to the base and independents.
Then realize that GOP moderate candidates are mostly similar to their democrat opponents and the result is voters including independents don’t have much to vote for.
And note that independents made up 24% of the electorate in 2012 and today .... 42%. Yes it’s true, there’s an enormous shift towards the independents that has received little media news because it is difficult for the news media to focus on a group that has no figurehead or discernable philosophy.
Fools if they do. The Democrats are the lessor evil compared to the RINO Traitors.
We made our voices heard. They had to spend significant time and money to turn back our candidates.
If the GOPe didn't hear us, our issues will be heard again next election, louder and more determined.
I have nop intention of sitting this election out, thanks to the fact I do have a third party choice.
I’m not. Screw both parties.
Has anyone noticed that in talking about the polls in all the states regarding the senate races and karl rove interviews and in any of the media, has anyone had anything to say about the Mississippi Senate race?
My last “hold your nose” vote was for Lamar! 6 years ago. And that was ONLY to try to keep the pres__ent from having a 60 vote majority.
He has stuck his thumb in my eye ever since. As far as I am concerned, if the dems keep the senate, it is no worse than having Lamar be the tie breaking vote.... he will fail us every time. I wrote in Joe Carr. I know he won’t win, but if Lamar squeaks by, instead of walking home easily, he will know why. I also hope it scares the bejesus out of Corker.
