Only a forehead scan done by a customs agent showed her to have a fever of 101. When her temp was taken by a medical professional shortly after that her temp was 98.6.
People that have Ebola do not have a 98.6 temp.
Up to 13% of confirmed Ebola patients never run fever at any point. Even until they die from Ebola.
I believe the Dr. in NY who recently came home from W. Africa and came down with Ebola was not running a temp at first. While he rode in a taxi and the subways, went out to eat and went bowling, he finally felt fatigued and then was diagnosed with Ebola. Thanks a lot, Doc. What part of that does this nurse not understand? Her attitude is arrogant and selfish, and most professionals would gladly “do no harm” until cleared by quarantine.
If she wishes to expose herself to disease to help others, more power to her, but she should have the decency to follow the rules and spare others. It's all about her, “look at me, I'm special”.
The point is the screening test was 101 and she was coming from treating Ebola patients. Better to safe than sorry.
