Non-citizen immigrants who voted in 2008 and 2010 may have swung elections
Fox News ^ | October 29, 2014 | Elizabeth Llorente

Immigrants who are not naturalized, and therefore are ineligible to vote, are casting ballots, according to two Virginia political scientists.

The political scientists, who are professors at Old Dominion University, say their research found that while the number of immigrants who vote despite not being naturalized is relatively small, “enough do that their participation can change the outcome of close races.”

The professors, who provided glimpses of their findings in an article they authored for The Washington Post, said that data from the Cooperative Congressional Election Study indicated more than 14 percent of non-citizens who took part in the CCES survey were registered to vote in 2008 and 2010. About 6 percent actually voted in 2008, and 2 percent did so in 2010, the professors said they estimated from the data.

Democrats likely benefitted from this, since immigrants tend to prefer them over Republicans, said the authors, Jesse Richman and David Earnest.

What is more, they noted, “this participation was large enough to plausibly account for Democratic victories in a few close elections.”

“Non-citizen votes could have given Senate Democrats the pivotal 60th vote needed to overcome filibusters in order to pass health-care reform and other Obama administration priorities in the 111th Congress.”

Voting registration should be purged every two years (after a national election). If you want to vote in the next election, you have to re-register.

It's the best way to reduce vote fraud.

When I lived in Texas many years ago, the law was that you had to re-register every 2-4 years. Not sure if that is still the case.

Recently I went to Town Hall to ask for an absentee ballot because I was scheduled to be out of the country on Election Day.The clerk asked me my name and address, which I gave her,at which point I asked her if she needed to see ID."Oh,no" she exclaimed...with more than a little bit of shock in her voice.I then asked her how she could be sure that the info I gave her was truthful."Well, you'll be signing a form under the penalty of perjury" she said.I immediately knew the silliness of that statement so I didn't pursue it any further. But I then asked her if one must show ID to *register* to vote."Oh,no...state law forbids any request for ID when registering or voting" came the reply.

This is the Gay State (Massachusetts)...a one Party state for decades...so it probably doesn't surprise anybody. But this is the Rat Party's policy nationwide.

And.. a CAC-type voter ID card and/or PIN that would be issued only after that two-year registration should be required to cast a vote.

Illegals screw our country in every possible way they can - from breaking our economy with demands for free good, free housing, free education, free health care to voting to ensure they get their free stuff.

Traditionally, many thousands of Americans vote democrat after they are dead. Now they have millions of alive non-citizens voting illegally in U.S. elections making of the country another corrupt banana republic.

Probably re register on all birthdays ending in five and zero. That would make the process more manageable.

No doubt between Chelsea, Lynn, Lawrence, Lowell, New Bedford, Cambridge, Fall River, Springfield & Brockton there will be thousands of illegal immigrants voting.

Nothing new here. I thought W would address voter fraud. Was I wrong!

Didn’t the stupid party (R) sign away their right to examine votes or something to do with race?

R, D, what the #311 is the difference?

Our country is being stolen right out from under us .....

But, hey, the big game is on tonight ..... So just pass around the chips, the dip, the six pack — and everything will be just great!
