Michigan is a must ask state but you don’t have to show an ID.
HOWEVER, if you don’t show an ID you must sign an affidavit that you are a legal voter voting legally. In effect its a signed confession if you vote illegally.
Its imperfect but it is effective enough that illegals protest the affidavit.
Out of curiosity, has ANYONE EVER been prosecuted in Michigan for signing a false affidavit to vote?
