The narcissistic Leftist is focused on "mascots" (those who seem to not be able to care for themselves and need the Leftist Elites to look after them), rather than the "benighted" regular people who neither need nor desire to have their lives run by the elites, and thus do not acknowledge the inner greatness of the elites.
