In case anybody missed it, this is the same company running the Hanford cleanup that's doing WIPP.

The backstory is all the birth defects in Central Washington that never seems to make the 'news' anymore...

But it's Ok, New Mexico: Democrat Senators Udall & Heinrich are on the case and saving/creating jobs

B.S. that those unfortunate birth defects have anything to do with Hanford. Unless those Mexican mommies had breached 10 miles of Hanford security and were crawling around disposal or contaminated sites. P.S. I've been here since 1954.
Yes, we were in Hanford/ BWIP in the 1980s. It is well run. No hysteria needed on this one.
It is time to scare up all of the loonies so they can crawl out from under their rocks to vote next Tuesday.
No statistically significant differences were identified between cases and controls, and a clear cause of the elevated prevalence of anencephaly was not determined, the CDC wrote. But IMHO, the jury's still out & I'm not getting into it. That comment was just that: My comment. I'm aware of the physics of groundwater depletion caused by irrigation and of the breadth of the Odessa Aquifer.
When they don't look for a cause, they don't find it. That CDC report is final to-date. Besides: The government is above reproach.../s
It could be nothing. It could be Glycophospate (Monsanto). Who knows. But neither are they looking.
It is truly appalling how few people click through the original links and embarrass themselves with non-sequitur comments...
I understand now why so many long-timers here add no comments to their posts.
Pathetic.
