This really doesn’t help FG’s argument. All sorts of Islamic apologists can point to the fact that Abedeni is still alive...he hasn’t been decapitated or gutted, therefor, Islam is not a violent belief system.
I don’t think it would be easy to argue that imprisoning someone for their faith is evidence of a peaceful, merciful religion.
