Seoul’s Spooks Say Kim Jong Un Had Ankle Tumor
Here’s a new theory about why Kim Jong Un was out of camera shot for 40 days: he was recovering from surgery to remove a tumor on his ankle.
That’s according to South Korea’s spy agency, which told lawmakers on Tuesday that a cyst appeared on the North Korean leader’s ankle in May and foreign doctors removed it during the September-October period.
Officials from the National Intelligence Agency gave their assessment during a regular parliamentary audit, but, as usual, didn’t specify how they gathered the information. The theory was relayed to the news media by two lawmakers who attended the briefing. (Also as usual, the NIS declined to comment directly to Korea Real Time).
The NIS told the lawmakers that Mr. Kim’s obesity and resumption of outdoor activities could cause post-surgery side effects and recurrence of the condition.

The article says executions continue. At some point, someone close to Kim will shoot back. People can not live under terror like that forever.
