Time to Stand for Life This Election (Louisiana Catholic Advocate Ad against Landrieu)
Catholic Advocate Website ^ | 10-22-14

At Catholic Advocate we focus primarily on the settled issues, life and marriage, and those of importance to Catholic voters. It is important for people of faith to be educated about the public votes taken by their elected officials on these issues.

There are two Catholic U.S. Senators up for re-election in 2014. Since beginning her 3rd term in 2009, U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu has not voted for any pro-life legislation. Whether it be conscience protections, the abortion mandate in the new health care law, or tax-payer funding for Planned Parenthood, her voting record has not supported the sanctity of human life.

Catholic Advocate is airing this TV ad against Senator Mary Landrieu in Louisiana showing her 100% pro-abortion record in Louisiana that has a large Catholic population.

This is one of several effective ads against Senator Landrieu by groups other than her opponents.

Definitely, Pro-Lifers and Catholics will be glad to see that this ad is airing right now in Louisiana.

This is probably one of several TV ads that may put a nail in the coffin of Mary Landrieu's political career (hopefully).

The campaign is a very nasty one in Louisiana. Hopefully voters will see this ad and take action. Louisiana is an extremely Catholic state and takes Christian values to heart (Bible Belt in Northern Louisiana and strong Catholic influence in the South.

Rep. Bill Cassidy also voted on the continuing resolution that funds Planned Parenthood.
Rob Maness for Senate!

Back in the late 90s lots of Louisiana Catholics embraced Landrieu in spite of her pro-choice support. I hope they’ve come to see the light.

Also back in the 90's, New Orleans Archbishop Phillip Hannan said "It should a sin to vote for Mary Landrieu or Bill Clinton" because of the Democratic stance on abortion.
I remember it quite well, and Mary Landrieu blew a fuse over that comment. To this day, I cannot find that article with Landrieu's response to Hannan. Think it was scrubbed from the web along with the Readers Digest article where Mary bragged about the dead votes, and the video where she threatened to punch GW Bush after Katrina on George Stephanopolis program.

Regarding Landrieu and abortion, I have a thought. She voted for Obama, didn’t she? And Obama wants abortion survivors to be murdered with homicidal neglect. If she didn’t bother to learn that, then she really doesn’t care very much about the issue.

That’s good to know. It bothers me to see these politicians exploit religion then turn around and promote abortion, homosexuality and all kinds of lawlessness. Landrieu and Pelosi are prime examples.

Yes, Landrieu is Catholic. It makes me sick to hear Christian Louisianans day they are voting for her because she’s a “good Catholic girl.” Wolf in sheep’s clothing is accurate.

With what happened recently in Mississippi, I hold my nose when it comes to the GOP. I am registered as Tea Party Express, not GOP in Louisiana.

The Landrieu family claims to be Catholic [Moon, Mitch, Mary].

In the 1990's, the Archbishop of New Orleans boycotted a commencement by the Catholic University because it honored the Landrieu family. It might have been after the year 2000.

It’s what she claims.
