100% Ebola free!

They are the first troops to be placed into what’s effectively a 21-day quarantine under a new Army policy that calls for isolating and monitoring the health of all soldiers who have deployed to the Ebola zone.
Maj. Gen. Darryl Williams, the head of U.S. Army Africa, and 11 of his staff members were put under “enhanced monitoring” when they returned to their headquarters after traveling to Liberia to help kick off President Barack Obama’s military response to the Ebola outbreak.

Troops and units move in and out, there never was a situation of ‘3,000 troops arriving, and 3,000 troops leaving’, small groups or units are going in to do what they do, and then leaving or staying depending on what their mission is.
That was Rand Paul’s goofy idea when he thought that they would be leaving all at once on a troop ship.
Is Zero going to call and complain about this quarantine, too?
Will the CDC shreek and moan?

I’m sure our Italian allies are very appreciative.
They are being isolated on an American Base in Italy, not in Italy.

Italy is not getting involved in this fiasco.
Those troops aren’t going near the Italians.

It’s supposed to be interpreted, by Politico ‘readers’ as, “Italy’s taking on Ebola patients, It’s the norm in Europe; but we’re not. As usual, we’re behind”
When in fact no Euro’s are touching this, as far as I know, And Vicenza is an American Army station in the middle of Northern Italy, and they are likely none too thrilled with this bit of BO obnoxiousness.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
