Here is my guess.
The government for the most part does not work on Saturday and Sunday. Thus, the controlled media had to wait for the government to tell them what to say.
This would explain why they all the news sources repeat the exact same psychological lines.

This is scary that there was a news black-out except for the one Israeli paper who later removed the story.
I can think of a few reasons they may have waited. Wasn't there a lot going on in Dallas that weekend? A big game, a state fair or something? Didn't want the masses to stay home.
The other things is maybe they were trying to get the Ebola to die off before they had to handle the body or decontaminate the room.
I mentioned in posts from the Israeli thread about his death in Saturday, that it was my belief that he coded and they were able to regain a heartbeat, at which point they put him on life support (lung and kidney, maybe heart also). The CDC never gave instructions on what to do with a body until several days later. Coincidentally, within hours of the protocol being released, he was taken off of life support, and was officially pronounced dead.
Why lie? They must, in order to give the appearance that they know what they’re doing.
