WASHINGTON The Department of Veterans Affairs finally removed an Alabama director of Alabama Veterans Healthcare. James Talton, had been on paid ($118.23/Hr) leave since August.
Participating in or being oblivious to systematic falsifying of records, creative and recreational crank cocaine and prostitution therapies and covering thousands of unread patient X-rays "routinely lost" until recently. Multiple administrators on all levels, knew and turned a blind eye or actively tried to cover it up.
Jim was removed after an investigation by the Office of Accountability Review investigation substantiated allegations of neglect of duty, according to a VA statement.

James Talton,s substantial retirement privileges service and monetary benefits are in no way jeopardized. Review is bogging, but not closed.

V A ping.
What position was he promoted to?
At first he thought that would be OK, but as he looked at it, he wants to serve his final few years and retire at 20. His biggest anxiety was dealing with the VA. The force doesn't trust them, if they ever did. But the level of fear and distrust is epidemic.
If Obama is ever carried escorted out of office in flex cuffs, or he actually leaves in 2016 (I have my doubts), then the next White House occupant needs to dismantle the VA and start over with a new agency. That is the only way.
The Philadelphia VA is perhaps the worst in the nation. It seems as if 80% of their staff are overweight women with attitude. They treat their jobs like a welfare check, not serving veterans.
Federal employees at some agencies can be fired for theft, and still get paid leave until the investigation and appeals are done. Pathetic.
