Being an ER nurse myself, I concur. Common sense plus a little extra extra caution.

And I would add: when you use hand sanitizer, don't use a little dab. Slather on great, dripping gobs of that stuff and rub vigorously from wrists to fingertips, between fingers, under nails, and especially under rings until it is completely dry. Don't wave your hands to air dry. Don't wipe off excess with a towel. Let it dry as you rub.

Hand sanitizer is not Brylcreem. A "little dab" will do you no good.
