Wilson comes across to me as a Joel Osteen-type Christian, i.e., it's not about the Cross, but about being all you can be, about succeeding and prospering, with the help of Jesus, somehow.
As for "not being black enough," who knows what that is supposed to mean? You can only get in trouble by trying to answer THAT question.
