A gunman shot dead a Canadian soldier at the National War Memorial in Ottawa today before exchanging dozens of shots with guards inside Parliament in a terrifying attack that left the nation's capital on lockdown.
Gunman Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, who reportedly recently converted to Islam, fatally shot Corporal Nathan Cirillo, a 24-year-old father, as he stood guard at the War Memorial on Wednesday morning.
Zehaf-Bibeau then ran inside the Parliament, where he opened fire before he was shot dead by the House of Commons Sergeant-at-Arms.
Zehaf-Bibeau was born in Quebec as Michael Joseph Hall but recently converted to Islam,CBS reported. Sources told the Globe and Mail that he had been designated 'high-risk traveler' and government had seized his passport
His attack comes just two days after another Canadian soldier was killed in Quebec by a man with jihadist sympathies.

Exactly what is it that convinces these people to convert and join the Jihad? How weak-minded, gullible and lost does one have to be to believe that taking such actions will result in some kind of ‘holy’ reward? I can only conclude that they’re better off dead at that point. Unfortunately, they may have taken the lives of others in the process. They’ve gotten it wrong all this time...What the reformed would-be martyrs should really do is kill themselves in private and alone because in actuality, they have already been the “Infidel”. Conversion is useless and in vain when prior to any conversion, the individual had previously lived a life of full of ‘infidellica’. Them having their names changed is no big deal. It’s just a half a dozen of one calling itself six and what does that prove when “Allah” is still waiting for proof and “all-mighty Allah” doesn’t have time to deal with all of these Johnny-come-lately type of jihadists.
Was the soldier armed while guarding the memorial or was he disarmed by liberals?

I would have guessed with hundred percent certainty he was a recent convert to Islam.
