Well, isn't that special. Bless her heart. Maybe she can donate some of the proceeds to all the businesses that lost income and all the people on monitoring lists who've had their lives distrupted.

Maybe she can donate some of the proceeds to Presbyterian Hospital, which has probably lost millions due to her “boyfriend.”

She should not be able to profit from the commission of a crime like this law prevents (Wyoming).

Ahh, a classic love story, ready for a movie from the Hallmark channel.

Boy meets girl, gets her pregnant, leaves, gets some other girls pregnant, lives with them for 17 years, then catches Ebola and hightails to America to marry the first girl or at least try and live, while the first girl who stole his heart is living with another guy, gets to her country, infects people left and right with Ebola, and dies.

An old family favorite.

I hope that Presbyterian Hospital and both the nurses that her boyfriend infected lawyer up now-then a suit for unpaid medical expenses and damages will be waiting for Ms. Troh before the ink is dry on her “love story”...

I won’t be buying the book or attending the movie, but I echo the sentiment in your post. Hundreds of people being monitored and who knows how much money down the drain due to this 1 incident.

I saw some of the Sunday programs, obviously the media has received their instructions to damp down the concern, and calm everyone down. It’ll probably work, if another case does not pop up.

I am still wondering about the African who became sick on the airplane and died? The CDC almost immediately ruled out Ebola - They wouldn’t lie about it would they? Did the CDC take names and addresses? Are the people being monitored just in case?

I hope none of these people get Ebola. Duncan has already given it to two people trying to save his life.

I suppose the 2 to 21 day period from “exposure” measures from the first day of exposure. Duncan’s girlfriend, like the nurses, were exposed to him multiple, consecutive days. I believe that exposure becomes more dangerous the closer the patient is to death.

If “only” two people become infected by Duncan it will be a small miracle. The comedy of errors leading to all this exposure is an embarrassment to our country. And we have no plans whatsoever to stop Duncan II from entering our country.

The comments are very anti Duncan/throw up (Troh). I think America might be coming around. My supervisor is very young. At first she was quite uninterested about ebola. But as things got closer to south FL she understood how much risk her mom who is a nurse faces. Now she wants to hear about every new development and is outraged at obama’s refusal to shut down the visas. This is as Rush says a “teachable moment”.

partially recover financially? 21days rent free and all needs provided and she has to financially recover?

How about she allow a few blood draws from herself and her ilk, to find out why they didn’t catch ebola. Shouldn’t that be her first priority?

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...
