But the remarkable part of this story is not what happened on the cruise ship, nor even what might have happened. What we might find truly amazing is the way that Mexico (!) was able to rapidly arrive at such a policy decision. In the United States we remain unable to invoke a travel ban while hundreds of visa holders fly into our airports each week. In Africa, Kenya Airways, British Airways, Air Cote DIvoire and Nigerias Arik Air all have full or partial bans on flights from the Ebola stricken nations. Mexico was able to take a look at the situation and tell the cruise ship to move along.Wow! Those Mexicans are SMARTER then the Smartest Man in the Room! Who would have thought that?

It’s a miracle they didn’t take them, then bus them to the border.

Mexico says no thanks to Ebola cruise ship...why, that'll just destroy our economy and make everyone in the US want to leave immediately to get away from Ebola, or some such nonsense.....

That healthcare worker must be very popular amongst his fellow travelers aboard the Carnival Magic.
I wonder how many ticket holders for future voyages are changing their reservations.
If denied a port-o-call once, how many more times will they be refused, until the Mexican government is convinced the ship has had all possible contagions disinfected?
