Yah...that's not the real one. The real one used non-super human strength, just the normal dude strength of his army to impale a few thousand for the world's first meat forest.

Yeah. I liked this one, a lot. The movie respects the history and the motivation of Count Dracula. The movie has a real nice feeling that conveys what medieval eastern Europe might have been like. It gives proper historical significance to his reign.

And then it ties the past to the present. Did the critics miss the point that the forces of good vs evil are alive today?

I have no idea what movie the critics were watching.
