I’m not going to say one way or the other about whether Wal Mart should or shouldn’t. Doesn’t matter to me. It’s their money. But that is just the dig to me. WalMart is dominating the store industry in the USA and other countries as well. They have basically put all other grocery stores out of business or close to it. We have a couple of others around town here other than WalMart, but the prices are about $2.00 per item more on most things. WalMart can out price anyone. They are making mega billions. So, it ain’t gonna hurt their profit line to give good employees a bump up. We ain’t talking $5.00 to $7.00 an hour here. We are probably thinking only a couple, three at most an hour bump if that. So, good for them. It will put them in a better light. They have gotten to be a bit of a bully now that they are the big box store on the block. Our store is getting a bit trashy and stuff all over the place, laying on the floor, no one picking up clothes that get just thrown back on the rack. They just leave it that way and you can pick through it the best you can if you want too. Getting about as bad as Sears and Pennys.

That is interesting. It seems around here business thrive because of WalMart. We are willing to pay more to avoid them for groceries, etc. And pick wise times as much as possible to visit them to avoid the herd for other staples.

And compare the number of people in a Whole Foods at any given time around here to the number of people in a WalMart. Whole Foods are wall to wall with customers.

Sprouts alone may push WalMart out of the produce/deli business.

And the JCPenneys around here are impeccably maintained. WalMarts not as well, but not bad.

Not in my area, we have a huge variety of big name, and little name, and single owned markets and supermarkets, at the Walmart that I use, the Von's is in the same strip mall.

Being a careful shopper, my shopping consists of visiting 5 various stores and markets as a routine.
