Iowa’s Braley, Ernst duel over abortion in debate

Republican candidate Joni Ernst defended her opposition to abortion rights during Thursday’s final debate between her and Iowa Democrat Bruce Braley in their neck-and-neck race for a U.S. Senate seat, but she said for the first time that she might support a legal exception to save the life of the mother.

The issue has come to define the final weeks of their campaigns to succeed retiring Democrat Sen. Tom Harkin. Polls show more women support Braley, a congressman from northeast Iowa, and more men back Ernst, a state senator from southwest Iowa.

Braley and allied groups are pressing the abortion issue in the days to come on the airwaves and during political stops. …

NOBODY has a “right” to FREE Taxpayer provided birth control.

The Dems always trot out the “rape and incest” argument for abortion, but have NEVER proposed a law to LIMIT access to abortion to such cases.

So, Ask them, “Why have you never proposed such limitations?”

The debate in my mailbox yesterday was lopsided: three different mailers on behalf of the Waterloo Chickensh*t, with two them telling me how Joni is "wrong" on guns; these two were from "Americans for Responsible Solutions," and they were about as welcome here as used toilet paper. Considering there has been no registered Democrat living at this address in ages, the hoplophobe billionaires are nothing if not cavalier with their money.
