Vinson, a 2003 graduate of Akron’s Firestone High School and 2006 and 2008 graduate of Kent State University, is related to three Kent State employees, and the university notified its campus about that relationship today. Her mother, Debra Berry, is the senior assistant to the Kent State president.
Kent State said it had asked the three to stay off campus for 21 days “out of an abundance of caution.”
