“Governors typically declare a state of emergency after a natural disaster. “
All the Administration’s disasters come naturally for them.

They are already spending millions on this. And it is going to cot them millions and millions more.
A disaster declaration means that they get 80% refunded by the feds.
That said, if Perry formally asks for a Disaster declaration for this OBAMA-MADE DISASTER, the lib media will likely go nuts.

I believe that the Sovereign Republic of Texas will be able to weather this storm and could resume foreign trade with nearby nations, such as the United States, in a relatively short time.

I expect this thing will suppress the liberal vote more than the conservative vote. I expect large cities like Dallas and Houston (liberal centers) will have greater chances of spreading the disease and fear in the black communities will consequently produce a lower black vote.

I think Obama is just waiting for Perry to do something. Remember, Perry was told by the CDC that one case is no big deal.
Then to.....maybe Obama will step up and give federal finds to the State...beat Perry out and use it against Perry in 2016.

"I believe that the Sovereign Republic of Texas will be able to weather this storm and could resume foreign trade with nearby nations, such as the United States, in a relatively short time." One of Texas's biggest exports to the United States happens to be Mexicans.
