Obama and CAIR (Council of Angry Islamic Radicals) tell us that ISIS isn't Islam, which is a “religion of peace.”.

But didn't Mohammed do everything that ISIS has done -- raiding villages, kidnapping, rapes, mass murders and beheadings, forced conversions, selling woman and young girls into slavery?

So please, somebody tell me what ISIS is doing that Mohammed himself -- the wretched, bloodthirsty murderer and child rapist -- didn't condone and exemplify through his own orders and actions? How is ISIS different?

And by the way, if any of you ever happen to be at an Obama press conference, or interviewing a member of his administration or a CAIR spokesman, maybe you can ask that question.

I would really like to hear the answer.

The right has been right on jihad. I always hate these "on both hands" articles. There's one side that has been running this country since 1932 and it's not the conservative/libertarian side. It's bee the hard left to moderate left.

Hernando de Soto's vision isn't about the economy writ large. So economic disfunction in Russia and Islamic countries doesn't seem to affect the support for Islam, communism or putism.

De Soto I believe is correct, because he is about establishin property rights for individuals/families. Every poor country today has weak property right protection. So what you own, is unstable, thus you need political protection to protect what you own and work for. If your in the masses without this protection, what's the point of working, if you don't get to keep what you work for.

This author misunderstands De Soto, who is yes for free markets, but not just on the larger basis. He works at the micro level.

The author is correct is criticizing the idea that "economics" isn't the solution, but "property ownership" is the answer.

It is material. Mohammed invented Islam so he could take over and control his people and then conquer other lands to gain riches and sex slaves, the current leaders have the same motives and are acting exactly as Mohammed did, so to say that's "not really Islam" is ridiculous.

It's "spiritual" only for the idiot peasants they get to be front line soldiers/terrorists. It's like violent Scientology.
