Nationalists with little shared vision of Bosnia and Herzegovinas future were in the lead in an election for the three-person presidency yesterday (12 October), likely portending more dysfunction in a country still haunted by the divisions of a 1992-95 war.
Based on a partial vote-count, authorities said Bakir Izetbegović, Dragan Čović and eljka Cvijanović were out in front in the race for the tri-partite state presidency, as the Bosniak, Croat and Serb representatives respectively. [ ]
Izetbegovic campaigned on the need for a strong, unified state, Čović on the creation of a Croat entity within Bosnia, while Cvijanović is part of a Serb bloc that advocates Bosnias dissolution.

Just split the country up into thirds (or halves if the Bosniac and Croat sides decided to cooperate),
There is nothing wrong with splitting up into smaller nations, especially since most of the former Yugoslavia has already done this multiple times.
Last time the former Yugoslavia did that, a war ensued. People like Helmut Kohl have somewhat to apologize for when it comes to that.
Why is it OK for the Croats, Slovenes, Macedonians, Kosovars, Montenegrans, Serbs to split off, but not for those in Bosnia to spit up into their OWN nations?
