I read this article, from an earlier post. Too bad Mr Duncan - and potentially infected others who are here, or attempting to flee here - could not/cannot get to this plantation/clinic.
I’ll point this out...over the past twenty years of Ebola, it tended to start up in the Congo. They had some experience with handling it, and it’d peak off, and start to disappear. Toward the end of 2013...it’d cross the region, and gone almost 1,000 miles further than previous infected areas. The new areas? Totally unprepared for it, and almost no medical resources to handle infections. If some serious bans on travel had been put into place back in January, along with big help from health organizations coming into western Africa...the thing would have been somewhat easy to stop.
We are beyond the “easy to stop” stage now, and it’ll have influence for years to come as it affects US and European commerce.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
Firestone did what is needing to be done now. Common sense is lost and political correctness abounds. We are in trouble if something is not done to radically change the attitudes and actions of this bunch..
