Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

...considered at low to moderate risk...

Then why are they spending a small fortune treating him? Barry said that all Americans' risk of catching Ebola here in America is low. Shouldn't we all be receiving treatment?

The Swedes pay AT LEAST 45-60% of their income for taxes, no matter what they earn. I've had a friend over there for 40 years. She's a doctor and thus pays the MAX, which, for her is a whopping 65%! It's insane, but they DO have "cradle to grave" care, the WHOLE nine yards.

Talk about a MOMMY-state.

Their Swedish tennis stars used to move out of Sweden JUST to avoid the taxation. I forget where they went, somewhere in Europe. Ah, the memory fades.
