Yes.

Thing is, I don’t judge hospitals for not having the right equipment or specially trained staff.

Normal civilian oriented hospitals and medical staff are not expected to handle Ebola cases. So I don’t judge nurses for not having training and I don’t judge hospitals that don’t have the special wards or hazmat suits. They weren’t built with the idea that this would happen and nurses aren’t trained to normally handle these things. Usually, if someone wants ot handle Ebola, they are expected to go through training in medical schools, virology, and then end up with additional specialized training.

Realistically, as more come in with symptoms and likely real cases, hospitals are going to have to improvise as it happens.

I agree with you. I don’t any confidence in the Republicans either.

We all need to figure out how to take our country back!

Indeed. If Frieden is truly the expert that everyone thinks he is, why isn’t he on the front lines treating ebola patients and showing others how it is done?

He’s got it right.

Too bad that’s not going to happen!

Jane, on your sign, although I can’t do it, it would be interesting to see the bloody hand print on the wall at Benghazi, where the letter “O’ is in Ebola, underlined in red.

You’ve got to be kidding. We went from 0 to full blown crisis in 2 weeks.

Still, 0bama refuses to secure the borders or even stop the flights from ebola countries. Martial law is next.

Because the patient had recently worked on a medical boat off the west coast of Africa,

...

How can a person with that background not go through some kind of quarantine?

A quarantine would be too judgmental.

I truly do think that our so called experts take their research/grant money and spend it on trips around the world preachifying. A total waste. Past geniuses were able to do ten times as much with so much less. By now, the CDC should have been well trained in containment, location, and also should be able to easily handle all of this. They have no excuse. It’s what they are paid well and more for and there’s no reason why on holy mother earth that they shouldn’t be able to answer any and all questions. They should be spending time creating and engaging in containment exercises, how to put on and remove a hazmat suit, know the virus inside and out, and be able to put up all sorts of news, be able to explain the stages of the virus and best times to handle the body of a patient to avoid transmission, and have gone through every possible epidemic scenario and have participated in exercises to end up being ready to go.

Good interview. The guy did very well.

You hate to say “I hope you have typhoid” but in this case I hope he has typhoid or anything but ebola.

Soon it will be like the enterovirus. Which states DON’T have ebola.

Unreal! I’m not usually one for conspiracy theories but this visa thing coupled with him dropping the quarantine regulations is scary as hell!

and another

RICHMOND, Va. — A local clinic has isolated a patient who recently traveled to Africa and now has a low-grade fever.

CrossOver Health Ministry, located in the 100 block of Cowardin Avenue, said they “don’t believe it’s Ebola,” but have isolated the patient and are taking necessary precautions to evaluate any risk.

The patient traveled to Liberia, a country of concern in the rapid transmission of Ebola, a couple of weeks ago. The facility has been in touch with the Virginia Department of Health.

The ministry feels the isolated patient is a very low risk, and said that the patient has other symptoms that aren’t typical with Ebola.

This facility serves a very large international population.

“We are as prepared as we can be,” said Julie Bilodeau, executive director at CrossOver Ministry.

Rush said he’s the guy who put the ban on New Yorks” super-sized drink, no salt shakers on restaurant tables, and something else, I forgot.

He was New York City’s health commissioner, a purely political position to institute the socialist vise grip.

Vitamin d3 in the right dosage for you (dose generously, then get blood test - adjust to 70 in blood or higher for flu season) is even better prevention of the flu than the flu shot. Liposomal vitamin C is magical against typical viruses as well, best taken at exposure or when you first get the fatigue or sore throat.

It's just a short ride to the airport, then, voila!...you're in America, in no time.
