More than two months after her husband campaigned with U.S. Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes in eastern Kentucky, Hillary Clinton is scheduled to appear in Louisville for the Democratic hopeful.
Grimes’ campaign announced Friday that Clinton, a former secretary of state and U.S. Senator from New York who is mulling a presidential bid in 2016, will headline an event at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville 7 p.m. Wednesday. The event is open to the public with free tickets available at Democratic headquarters throughout the state.
“Alison is honored to have Hillary Rodham Clinton on the campaign trail with her less than one month before this important election,” Grimes campaign manager Jonathan Hurst said in a statement. “Alison has been a long-time supporter and admirer of Clinton’s leadership and independence, and is humbled that she will be in Kentucky to endorse her campaign and her plan to get Washington working for Kentucky.”
Although Grimes has often declared herself a “Clinton Democrat” throughout her Senate run, McConnell’s campaign continued its attempt to link her with President Barack Obama, an unpopular figure in Kentucky.
“Alison Grimes’ entire campaign is designed to distract voters with shiny objects and celebrity appearances to conceal her inexperience and deceive voters from her true beliefs in the Obama agenda,” McConnell campaign spokeswoman Allison Moore said in a statement.
Clinton’s appearance in Louisville comes less than a month before the Nov. 4 election as Grimes seeks to unseat U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Senate’s Republican leader. Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, has stumped for Grimes twice in this election cycle, most recently Aug. 6 at stops in Lexington and Hazard.
After keeping a relative low profile on the campaign trial this midterm cycle, Clinton has ramped up her appearances for Democratic candidates...

When McConnell is on a stage somewhere, it would be nice to have Monica sitting on stage, never saying a word, or maybe just a cardboard cut-out.
Can’t see this moving many who are not already Grimey.
It’s an opportunity to catch the old bat out in public and take lots of un-photoshopped pictures of her for later use. They will have to use camera angles, heavy make up, and digital alteration to try to rejuvenate her decrepit shell if they are to market her.
My bet (of course) is that Lie-a-watha will be showcasing Hillary’s age and I’ll health this election cycle.

Celebrity appearances? Uh....Mitch.... just an observation here: Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, has done THAT more than your buddy, Pat Roberts in Kansas. Not saying that’s a bad thing, but.... just sayin’.

First of all, the James O’Keefe video of her campaign workers saying Grimes lied about being Pro-Coal. Then, her refusal to admit that she voted for Obama. She really screwed the pooch on that one. It was a blatant, intellectual insult to the voters.

All Grimes had to do was say: “Of course I voted for Obama; I’m a Democrat. But, I am disappointed in a lot of his policies and a lot of his legislative agenda. I’m a Clinton Democrat.” That’s all she had to say, but, she blew it. That will go down as the moment Grimes lost this election.
